I went down Lavis lane the other day to see what the go is, the gate was open and no signs saying it was closed so I ventured in further, drove right down to where the gravel stops and the sand starts, not 100% sure but we could be all a go for this one.

Some of us are going to camp on the beach and if anyone wants to join us your welcome to.
If anyone wants to camp but doesn’t have a 4×4 we can organise something, maybe you can ride onto the beach and we can cart your gear on for you.
May start a list of who wants to camp.

It has been a while and it will be good to catch up.
F.Y.I Me and the bimbo went out for a cruise on Stockton beach and ventured into the dunes a little on Sat. Hadn,t been out there for about 10 years but it all seemed to be as per memory. There were a few G.U.R staked out but there was a heap of quads and 4wd all over the place.
So it looks like the ride can go ahead as per plan :woohoo: :woohoo:

I’ll have to pull the pin on this one. I won’t be getting my bike back until next week and don’t really want it’s first ride back after a rebuild to flogging up and down the beach. So I’ll take it bush for a play instead.

Hey Scotto
You need a rego’d bike or a rec rego’d bike to ride on the beach, even if you have a 50 cc quad for the kids they still want you to have rec rego.
Full rego will give you access to the beach from lavis lane to anna bay but rec rego will only allow
you to ride in the area from lavis to the sygna.
If your thinking of getting rec rego for the 50 quad it probably cost 300 plus
Also you have to remember that riding on the sand isn’t as easy as the dirt, so it’s not the best for the kids to cruise around on.

I am riding out of Wisemans Saturday morning with the Team Old Bull APC style so I am out Saturday. Sorry I got the dates all messed up, but Pete as per our phone call I think that’s a plan I will work on will speak this week

I have been close to pulling the pin myself, with only getting 1 weekend off a fortnight and with going away on the last one, the jobs are building up around the place.

Still need to have some fun though so will still ride but maybe only half a day.

I have lost track of who is coming and who isn’t now, will have to sift through the thread and see. I can’t edit any of my previous posts either so will have to start a new list once I know who to put on it.

Not sure who is camping, who needs space at my place and who is just meeting us there though so if you could all let me know who is doing what via PM that would be great.

I think the best thing is if we all meet at the servo at Lavis lane Saturday morning at 8.30am. Beach passes are available from there, bring proof of registration as the rangers will check if they are about. We can ride up to Anna Bay tavern for lunch and a refuel then have a play in the singles up that end before heading back down to Lavis lane.
