the full balance wheelie down the steep hill from the truck stop was cool mick.

the ttr wouldn’t wheelie even if you reved it and smacked it to first.

“i really tried to triple them, but bike said, no, no, no”

You would have tripled them on the TM mate and landed sideways for the corner :P As I said to TB the other day, Champo is one of the best riders on the site, I’m not surprised he was sticking it to you TB, even on a TTR :)

Hmmm… what is it about bike injuries that turns perfectly reasonable people in the medical profession into bike-hating nazi’s? Have you guys also experienced the whole “oh, you hurt yourself riding a motorbike? No need to look after you then, you did this to yourself!” attitude? I had that with a large stack just before Christmas 07. Once I told them I had hit a kangaroo at quite slow speeds they settled down, but it really bothers me! How is a bike injury any different to breaking an ankle while running or for that matter any injury caused by a car crash? Its not like we are all wearing stubbies, wife-basha singlet and double pluggers and riding pit bikes while trying to do FMX tricks!

I was reading this thread on ADV http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=264552 and got to the bit where he is in a hospital it bothered me a lot. Scary stuff.

    Sorry, threadjack over.

I crashed my mountain bike, not my motorbike ;) I hera what you are saying though ECKS, it’s discrimination.

Champo – If you’re not crashing, you’re not riding hard enough, so you must be ‘trying’ with all that hospital time to your name.

I like ECKS thinking regarding riding for tomorrow and never ever leave my comfort zone, 8/10ths is my limit now, as well when leading and orgaising a ride I have to be there for the ride, and clear the track and am the first around that blind corner with the tree blocking the track that wasnt there last ride! Yeah he was motoring alright I was at the top of my safe limit to pass him and even over a bit it was fantasic to watch also and I could take it a bit easier using him as a braking marker when I knew he could check is GPS screen to see what the corner was doing ahead lol

That’s why I prefer following you (or someone else) as you can use them as braking markers or at least get a little bit of judgement as to how the corner is panning out. I do get a roosting though!

The Christmas roosting of Tiny was a classic!

Well in my life I am a lot of things:

    1. Father
    2. Husband
    3. Breadwinner
    4. Employer
    5. Intelligent!

I’ve had enough crashes to know that they hurt. I also have a lot of responsibility so that weighs pretty heavily on me. So that’s where the intelligent part comes in – keeping my head when the temptation is there to go silly-buggers!

+1 on that Ecks, being self employed also doesn’t help.

    Chris.
