Well trail riding will be healthy here in Tamvegas for years to come after a great family ride weekend at the Nundle Cabin. Highlight pictutre of the weekend was the site of gun rider Aaron on his flashed up CR300 (yep rode it and want one) leading his gang of 20+ kids on everything from pw50’s to cr150 around the single trails. Wish I had a picture it was one of those great momments of trail riding!

First ride back on my bike couldnt have gone better as the knee survived and I got to spend the day riding with two of my daughters who are now lovers of single trail. Riding with all the boys is great but riding with your family is pretty special. We even had a miracle happen with the missus getting aboard the XR100 and riding round the trails for over an hour – not fast but having a go.

Thanks Ron for organising the weekend and to all the great mob we ride with. Our whole family is looking forward to the next family day, although my wallets about to get lighter and the garage a lot fuller going on the results of the weekend and the rest of the kids busting to get out on the trails as well.

Only complaint about the weekend was the knee braces didnt make me ride like MAL 5.1 so his skills must come from somewhere else.

Yeah I’ve got to admit Snowy, riding on these family weekends are great. I’m glad you and your family enjoyed the weekend. I’m sorry I couldn’t hang around for another day, but the wife doesn’t get public holidays so I wanted to spend some time with her before the Monday.
Your wife looked like she was enjoying herself when I saw you on the way out.
I will be trying to organise another one very soon.

Great read Snowy and good work Ron. Would be interested in dragging the kids and bikes up when you do it another time. Speaking of kids (well mentally anyway) did Boony go?

How were the braces Snow and how good was it back on the bike ;)

Yeah the braces were great didn’t really notice them while on the bike. I felt I had them other enough but they did seem to move down a little bit when I was walking around. Not sure if its because they were directly on bare sweaty skin as I didn’t like the under skins they came with. Spent a fair few hours on the bike and it was great to be back on it and apart from the knee being a little swollen it all went well.
