This was in my brother in laws farm shed nera Maitland.
He was going to take it to the local tafe so that the apprentices could get experience pulling it apart.

So i took it off his hands to save him the trouble of transporting it. 👿

This is it after a wash.

I am going to slowly restore it and get back into twin shock trials. :)

It’s a 1977 Yamaha TY250D for those who were trying to guess. ;)

Well I had an interesting day yesterday, on a farm south of Wello, up in the hills. I swear this bloke has NEVER thrown anything away, just buys stuff, uses it till it’s stuffed and parks it on the farm somewhere!

In his shed was a matching pair of “Yamaha 500’s” – “…yeah, there’s a bit of an electrical problem with that one…”

Now we go off the bike topic a bit, but you’ll be interested I’m sure! Up a goat track and over the hill, he had a stash of machinery that would make you cry:

A lineup of utes, 2 x Holden FB’s (?), an EK (?) and an Austin.

Hiding up the back was a “Fargo” truck – or what’s left of it, an Inter truck, several old tractors and a Series 1 (?) Land Rover:

You hit the nail on the head mate. I’m sure he’d sell them, in fact he said on of the FB’s was being sold … for $50!

Funny how farmers don’t like leaving stuff intact even after they died. They either pull them to bits to fix them and give up or steal parts of them to make into “experiments” that end up at the other end of the scrap heap.
