March 6, 2013 at 10:22 am #237705Solid Rock by Gonna, and a song called Screaming Jets by Johnny Warmann is a all time classic for me. It went like
Last night, as I was dreaming
I saw, the sky was bleeding
I heard the screaming jets
ndum-dum-dum-da-dumLast night, the world was crying
I heard, the children dying – chorus
I heard the screaming jets
ndum-dum-dum-da-dumNo more, no more – again
No more, no more
ndum-dum-dum-da-dumLast night, I was crying
I heard, the world was dying
There’s a ring around the sun
And it looks as the dawn of winter
Where it all begun – chorusI heard the screaming jets
No more, no more – again
No more, no more
nud-dum-dum-da-dumI heard the screaming jets – again
I heard the screaming jets – again
I heard the screaming jets
ndum-dum-dum-da-dum(when we die is the fate [x2])
(is the fate)Ama-jay (?) Ama-jay HA! [repeat to fade out]

March 6, 2013 at 7:56 pm #237675Some of the bands i remember seeing as a teen ….
– 1927
– Noiseworks
– Choirboys
– U2
– Bon Jovi (a truly brilliant marketing exercise making girls think a dude in black tights was hot  )
– INXS
– Bros (very embarrassing to admit
…. but I did draw the line at seeing Wham!)So that’s about my vintage …. loved the good old band days when it wasnt about the effects.
