Arrived unexpectedly early at Main creek intersection, but no one there.
Turns out wishful thinking got the better and I was a few months early.
So finished off breakfast (355ml red bull) and set off push starting ( broke the kicker off last weekend :( )
    Success.
Off up the road going to gloucester.
Sniffed around there then headed west, ended up over near fry(ing?) pan.
On exitiing west up the main road I thought I saw a kick starter.

I went back and inspected. Looked about right…. Installed and I was back off! :woohoo:. Minor mods to frame guard plastic required to get clearance but what a find!

Rode the single stuff around there then back to van 3 hours later needing fuel .

Off again this time up through main creek. Back towards the camping area mentioned above for a heat exchange in the creek.
On the last return I saw a windscreen less car sporting a goggle wearing pilot, different, certainly cheaper option .

Some awesome stuff in that place, much more severe work out then watties as the tracks are quicker, rockier and hills go for longer.

No pictures as I assumed in 21 people there would be someone doing it .
On inspection it appears it does actually say feb on the ride .

    Good one Diddel :woohoo:
I doubt whether I would of rode around an unknown area solo without a kickstarter :S
Seems as though the gods were smiling on you and what a top score with finding a kickstarter out there:woohoo:
Will see you up that way Feb mate
Maybe there will be some other riders too ;)
    Cheers

Keenness is my main attribute when it comes to riding, bike does the work for me .

The kicker is off a 4 banger by the looks as its large, but gee was the price right!

Crazy effort I`d say, heading into the scrub alone, unknown area, no kickstarter!!!

Add the heat to that & you have one lucky boy that made it home in one piece ;)

One thing to love ya riding, but I would be a tad more careful mate
We came across two guys out of Wombeyan Caves on the Caves ride, one with a broken leg and they were in trouble, lucky for them we came along when we did by chance!!!

Hate to hear of guys lost out there, especially injured,,,

Hopefully see ya on the real ride in Feb then

    Thanks TB .
Yeah not ideal riding circumstances but my inbuilt compass hasn’t failed me yet so that’s always handy.
Pity I didn’t get the map with the compass :(.

Yes but at least I was down that way anyway to look at the little Kato. Diddel’s is more funny as he was months out and made the trip specifically

Well I did go in search of a kick starter, but it came at a cost, had to free ball for the 2nd part of the ride  I’ll let you decide why.

Is that because of your youth Diddel?
