February 5, 2011 at 6:19 pm #195902I Like how the recent Topics tab is on more of the pages as I use it all the time;) I always thought that The Latest Posts “header” was wasted space and it could have gone there but how it is now is fine. Why when I hover the mouse over the change color tabs below where it says private messages does a partial screen show up behind the white screen? Over there -> in that gray bit? Also If I hit the restore down up the top all the sponsors links disappear behind the screen? The last bits are only minor issues and don’t really make the experience worse. It may be something to do with my computer or Firefox. All up though I like it great work!

Why fix what wasn’t broke? How do you know it wasn’t broke we were miles behind on versions for software, new software includes things like security fixes, bug fixes etc, I don’t want my server being hacked due to this site not being updated, it had to be done as you would know new versions things change sorry you don’t like but that’s the way it is.
Chris.
No worries Chris.. If there were security issues of course you needed to update.. Letting everyone know one of the reasons for the change was a security issue..
I still don’t like it.. 👿 very clunky compared to the old layout and it now has that silly web 2.0 look and feel..
Will have a deeper scroll around..
Time (this was awkward on old as well) can you make it the actual date.. Threads say 1 year 2 hours 46 minutes..
Why not just the actual date and time?
Will try and add a bit more constructive stuff..

Is the Hippo dancing? He is not on my Smart Phone
I do most my posting on my HTC desire and this interface is much harder to use. I have not opened it on my PC but as more people start to rely on hand held devices to access the web we should keep in mind how the site looks and loads on phones.STM
February 5, 2011 at 11:20 pm #195929The only thing that is a problem for me Chris is the latest posts bar , I do everything on obt via iPhone so maybe that’s why?
It seems to be very hard to read and distinguish the post from the author, and with no time/date of the post how do we know if we’ve already looked at it?
Apart from that I’m getting used to the change

Yep the Hippo is dancing mate :woohoo: . Cracks me up every time that thing.
Good idea with the ‘smart’ phone hand held thingys. Every where you look now someone is wrestling with a ‘smart’ phone. Maybe Chris could develop an Old Bulls ‘app’ and sell it.
February 5, 2011 at 11:33 pm #195933That’s interesting STM my IPad won’t do shit on the site now I can’t even bloody post !!!!!!!
February 6, 2011 at 12:00 pm #195934Well done Chris.
I quite like the new look of the site and the work you do is very appreciated;)
My only beef is the latest post window. Like others have said it is a little difficult to decifer. Don’t know if it’s the new colour or font??
Perhaps an extra space between each topic might help.
KramB)
Just noticed that the face thingys no longer work for me too. Not sure if that’s my PC or the program
February 6, 2011 at 1:04 pm #195956You may just need the space between the last letter and the smilie
February 6, 2011 at 1:25 pm #195967Do we want the time on the latest posts? I can remove that may ne a bit easier to read then.
February 6, 2011 at 1:29 pm #195969I dont mind the time being there, maybe you could adjust it to day light savings time, it appears to be an hour slow at the moment Chris.
