Strange I don’t recall starting it in the Bullpit, what do the filters look like ollie, are they similiar to the $30.00 ones, I’m going to head over there shortly to get my fix.

    Chris.

Chris they are close enough to being exactly the same about 4″ wide x 8″ long.Material is identical and very stretchy all good

So we are now down to $4 for 3 filter skins. Sweet! What was the make Mick, can you remember?

Hy-Clor and the Missus corrected me, there is 5 or 6 in the bag.

Yep 6.99 Kmart, same material as the Bike shop skins, bit different shape but they stretch over no problems, somebody must be making the big $ on the bike shop ones.

Most motorbike stuff is ridiculously overpriced, I’m not surprised they’re marked up by 700% :(

Actually tried one of these last night, I think the fit is actually better than the bike shop ones, they wrap around the front a bit more so covers the whole filter and the seal as well, still ran a nice smudge of grease over the skin and all looks good.

    Cheers
    Chris.

Just use the jelly. A friend told me it can be used to reduce friction with interference fits ;)
