    Yeah Crash and I wondered the same Moto, considering how stock the honda engine he used last year was I dont understand the need for the 505, Kato’s 450 would have the same power as a CRF

    I think it’s a power delivery thing as opposed. They are only 5 speed gearboxes too so that may habe been a factor. The 505 isn’t an Enduro bike so has more poke as well.

    Just speculation….

    They used R’s not X’s last year at GHR, they are only 5 speeds I think, and a small gearbox thats why they use cushion drive hubs, maybe the 505’s have a bigger gearbox for the shock loading on the drive systems, you have to see it live to appreciate the stress on chain sprockets and gearboxes the front runners put through their bikes
