I did that at the request of a couple of my Somalian mates, as they wanted to borrow my boat to meet up with some friends of theirs, on an Arabian oil supertanker off the coast of Africa. I thought they must have been going on a hunting trip, considering the large and diverse array of weapons they took with them.
They said they wanted to surprise their mates on the supertanker and didn’t want them to know the country of origin of my vessel. They telephoned me last night and advised me that they will be coming into a large sum of money very soon. They also mentioned something about a king’s ransom, and as much crude oil as I wanted….whatever that means.
November 19, 2008 at 8:26 am #112491I’ve only been outside once…the boys reckoned that if I kept my eyes on the horizon I wouldn’t be crook. I did and promptly threw my heart up (that might explain a few things!), took two sea sick tablets and then fell asleep. What a tops trip! Was the horizon thing a wind up? I’ve never been out since.
I have done the Hawkesbury thing with a mate who’s since moved down the coast. It was great, I kept throwing bait on a hook out and it kept coming back clean. A boat not twenty metres away were pulling in monster jewies. Fishin’s great!November 19, 2008 at 9:15 am #112495Having been to sea more times than I have ridden my bike, I have never been sea sick but have seen plenty of people who were, it doesn’t look like fun. :X The one and only thing over my 30 odd years at sea that I have seen fix sea sickness is a big fat joint. 👿 I have seen blokes that wouldn’t care if you threw them over the side, they were that sick, jam a big scoob into them and next you know they are up fishing again and having a right good ol time…LOL. Illegal as it is it works a treat.

AnonymousHa ha this is so funny, a thread about fishing and nobody with a boat. I’m sat in a hotel lobby in Lagos pissing myself at the notion. Then again, anything is funny after what I have just been through….
