First OBT post and first Member

Hi Guys,

Just stumbled accross your site, looks good, I guess I can be the first to introduce myself, names Ron and Ride an XR400, Just got back into riding after maybe 15 years off the bike, a couple of kids and a wife have kept me busy, now the kids are a bit older I’ve jumped back on the bike.. Living in the liverpool area, would love to meet up with others for weekend rides, don’t mind travelling up to 2-2.5 hours..

Yes Ron congrats your the first there are some rides coming up late June and july will try to put a two day together for july time, the rides will be within the 2 / 2.5 hr radius of the pool ! :woohoo:

Gday all,
I clicked on a link on Thumpertalk and found you guys.It will be great to have an Aussie version of Thumpertalk happening.
My name is Mick and I live at Wauchope NSW,I have a few bikes in the shed that get ridden most weekends as we have the state forest all but at our back door.Our family also owns 640 acres at Comboyne were we have our own personal enduro track (4.5 km loop)
The bikes we have are 08 KTM530, 99 XR630, 94 XR630, 2007 KTM 990 Adventure,06 KX 85 (sons),2 x KTM 50 (daughter),2 x PW50.
I will tell a few mates about this site and lets see if we can get it up and happening.You’ve particularly won me over with the dedicated XR section!!!!

Great stable of bikes you got there but whats with the KTMs :unsure: ha ha could be worse I have done some riding up in your area and have friends at Combine, great to have you on board. XR’s rule

Yeah I have a very understanding missus,actually I don’t think she even knows exactly what is in the shed at any given time!!The KTM’s are starting to take over the shed, last year there was no KTM’s in there and now there is 4 of the bloody things,with another pro senior on the way.
If things are gunna get serious on a ride I take the KTM530 but if it is a long ride, in not so gnarly conditions I will always pick the XR because it has a seat!!The KTM seats are made from the heat tiles off the space shuttle I think.If you have friends at Comboyne I bet I know them as I am a forth generation local.
BTW congrats for setting this site up,look forward to contributing in the future.

Hey Mick welcome and thanks for joining up, see the sticky at the top, and we’ll get you out some stickers, Understanding Missus and trailbikes generally are never seen together so that’s a first for me.. Love the KTM’s I’m a closet fan. Man I just reread your post, you got some heavy duty s**t there, get them all together and send us a pic would love to see them altogether, (you might need a wide angle lens)

Holy Shit! Someone has just had a big dig in the bowels of OBT history! MY first OBT post! Bloody hell sometimes I regret finding OBT and posting that, then after a ride like the one we did last weekend, it makes it all worth while!

It was the first post on TT, my first, Chris’s first all on the first morning it was created in a drunken night :laugh:

Was about a week before I found Mick on OBT. Interesting is that Chicken is our oldest active member on OBT if you take out Chris and I and then CraigJ.

:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: I tell you what there has been a fair bit of dribble happening on here since post #34 Mick! :laugh: :laugh: Me included! Funny stuff that. It has definately been great though to meet so many different people from all over the place with similar interests. And thanks to everyone for some bloody great times, help and laughs on the trails and off.
