    there must be a tool for fitting the joining link on my new O ring 520 chain is there??????
    I had a quick look this arvo after refitting my fortune tyre and and the new 50 tooth cog and it has me buggered how you can compress the rings without a special implement??
    or am I just being blonde again :laugh:

    There is special tools like the ones Ollie had at Louee

    You can use a pair of large multi grips and a small 8 mm nut.

    Put the plate on as best you can and use the nut over the pins where you will fit the circlip, squeeze each end bit at a time until you can fit the circlip, closed end facing direction of the chain travel

    Yes there is a little special tool to do this, its real easy with it too :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :P :P :P

    Yep there sure is a tool Boony. There are a few different companies making then now. I’m sure Suttos would have then, I know Ballards have them.

    They make fitting the joining a breeze.

    I have the older style of this one. Cost me about $50 5 years ago and I carry it in my bum bag with a small length of chain.

    I asked a similar question a while back Boony, try using the search function. I am using one of thos little plug in things for the internet and it is really slow, otherwise I would have found it for you.
