Excellent ride with plenty of new stuff I enjoyed a lot!
3 ktm’s, but gotta take the good with the bad .
Unfortunately Lotsa went down hard on the way to Millville(?) and broke his collar bone in a couple of spots.
Quite a decent off.
250kms or so for the 3 remaining. Thanks to all involved and I hope Lotsa recovers quickly, he rides well.

March 21, 2010 at 12:15 am #173819Lotsa the tough bugger! Rode his bike a futher 5ks to millfield servo , Where we waited for his wife to pick him up. May need a new bark buster and a set of bars but all should be good.

March 21, 2010 at 1:12 am #173820High side with some pace.
Very lucky as he seemed to hold the bike on its decent instead of going skyward with a much more sliding then splatting result.
Also lucky he went into the embankment rather then over the edge and down the hill.
10 mins of moaning and groaning, 10 mins of confusion, 10 mins of planning then off to lunch.March 21, 2010 at 4:58 am #173860I turned up at the parking lot to find Diddel, Justo and GavB waiting. Some quick intros and a chat and we set off. Went through Ourimbah State Forrest ST and a bit of fire trail and ended up at marble hill where there were some running repairs.
Marble hill
Diddel had a coolant leak, hope you sort that out mate
GavB with a bit more liquid metal on the case
looks like gav is trying to set it on fire with a petrol soaked ragReady to roll again
At the quarry we bumped into BMW Dave who had his two kids roaring around. We had a chat and organised a ride in the near future and then went down the hill to Yarramalong for fuel.
Up towards the letter A
Diddel
Gav B
Justo
Then down to Watagan Cr Rd and up to the top of the ridge towards Millfield.
On the way down I was having a great time sliding in and out of corners until I high sided. It was lights out for a little while but lucky I was in good company because they told me that while I was having a snooze they went off and did a short loop and then poked me with a stick until I woke up. Nice fellas.
This is the result
After I got my bearings we rode to Millfield for a latte. The wife got rung to pick me up because I had ‘bike trouble’ and the guys were kind enough to wait around to load my bike on the trailer.
Sitting around at Millfield
Justo
Gav and Liam
A perfect example of the male species complete with broken collarbone and goose egg on the melon.
The wife arrived with the trailer and was relieved that it was only me broken and not the bike. Thanked the guys and took off to Gosford hospital who within two hours found I wasn’t dying and shoved me out the door. I hope they plate the thing.
We were only 130km into the ride so I would have preferred to bust myself up at leased until we got through Pokolbin SF because we missed some great trails.
The gear is all washed and I’m prepping the bike now ready and waiting for the next ride, whenever that may be.

March 21, 2010 at 9:27 am #173875Well the other part to the story – ( after we poked lotsa with a stick to see if he was alive and made the poor bastard ride out of the forrest, packed him up and sent him home ) We decided to skip Pokolbin Forrest for the time being and made an assult back into the Watagans on Congewai rd up Congewai trail and out Georges Rd which is a fairly decent hard assent. we had a fair way to travel back and hit a few singles on the way and went back out toward the basin, down Cedar Brush Ck to Yaramalongggg then back up Bumble hill to Ourimbah through Ourimbah state forrest.
Top day in all apart from Waynes effort to make the ride even more exciting. I think he scored a .7. in the crash. with special mention and points for degree of difficulty and sound effects, scrape marks on the road & helmet, not nowing the day of the week when asked or even where we were for a while.
List of forrests wereOurimbah State Forrest
Olney State Forrest
Watagan State Forrest
Corrabare State Forrest
Watagan National Park
Edge of Heaton State Forrest
& Back through them all againMarch 21, 2010 at 10:37 am #173824:blink:
