Well, Fish and I did a bit of a pre run to Camerons and the weather beat us again!
We were out there on a 4wd tour but we also looked at tracks for Tony Kirbys memorial ride and the OB ride in Oct.
The weather kept us out of camerons cnr because of rain, we had tyres and oil to deliver to the corner , so after going the long way round to Innamnika, we had a beer with the local mechanic who was going to Camerons to service the generator and he was more than happy to take our load to Camerons after a few drinks were bought on his behalf!!
The roads were in really good condition but as always out there the roads are closed at the first sight of rain.
We stayed at Krustys place on our way to the Flinders Ranges and hope that he is okay with that as I did not have phone coverage to ask his permission at the time!!

We had a great trip and we are really looking forward to getting out there again soon.

Hey Nick, no the roads were ok and not as bad as last year but they closed out Camerons and Tibooburra. We were able to go around and stay on roads that are looked after by the gas fields! We also had a few drinks with people in the know and have a few tracks and tricks up our sleeve for when we are on bikes. ;)

Yes TB, have a few more pics and I went down the bore track a few k’s to see how it looked and it was closed but we would take bikes down there no prob’s and by the time we go should be all ok and open again. The roads from Yunta to the Flinders and the Gammon ranges were in really good condition and the road to Camerons would have been ok but they are not payed for by the gas & oil fields and are closed at sniff of rain!! We have some phone numbers for the guy on the dog fence and we should be ok to ride some tracks that are not public roads if we need to.

Hey Krusty, we stayed at your place and I told one of our party that you bought the place at auction last year! He thinks he owes you a drink for the privilege of staying there!! He said why would he buy a place all the way out here!! I said he is American and he said OK that makes sense!! :) :)

Hey Boulder, Krusty’s place looks a lot dryer than when we stayed there.

The bore track is no problem for bikes. Myself and Tryhard rode it a couple of months back and MickP went down it a few weeks ago in a 4WD.

Sorry to hear you didn’t make Camerons Corner this time. Everyone is very helpfull out there.
