    Rain and wind and weather
    Held bent for leather
Wishing my gal was by my side

    All the things I’m missing
    Good vittles love and kissing
Are waiting at the end of my ride

Move ’em on head’ em up
Head ’em up move’ em up

Count ’em out , ride ’em in
Ride ’em in count ’em out
Count ’em out, ride ’em in

    Keep moving moving moving
    Though their disapproving
    Keep them dogies movin Rawhide

    Don’t try to understand ’em
    Just rope throw and brand’em
Soon we’ll be living high and wide

    My hearts calculating
My true love will be waiting
Be waiting at the end of my RIDE

Spent my days with a woman unkind, Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine.
Made up my mind to make a new start, Going To California with an aching in my heart.

From the red dust north of Dalmore Downs
    Sharman’s tents roll into town
    Telve will face the auctioneer
    Sharman’s boxers stand their ground

Their days are darker than your nights
But they won’t be the first to fall
    Children broken from their dreams
But they won’t be the first to fall

    Fighting in the spotlight
Eyes turn blacker than their skin
    For Jimmy Sharman’s boxers
It’s no better if you win
    Standing in the darkness
Lined up waiting for the bell
    The days are wasted drinking
At the first and last hotel

    CHORUS
Why are we fighting for this?
Why are you paying for this?
You pay to see me fall like shrapnel
    Tobthe floor
What is the reason for this?
There is a reason for this?
Wht isthe reason they keep coming
    Back for more?

The blows now bring him to his knees
But still the crowd calls out for more
The drums are burning in his ears
The man keeps counting out the score

STAND UP, FISTS OUT – THIS IS THE REAL THING!
STAND UP, FISTS OUT – I WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!

Baby I’m bad, I’m the fear in your eyes.
That hate in your heart has been branded with my name

    You oughta been warned
Not to cross the tracks to my side of town
    Dark clouds will follow
GOD MAKE ME PAY LIKE THE DEVIL I AM

It’s been ten long years since the devil laid his fiddle at Johnny’s feet

And it burned inside his mind the way he suffered that defeat
In the darkest pits of hell the devil hatched an evil plan
To tempt the fiddle player for he’s just a mortal man
“The sin of pride,” the devil cried is what will do you in
“I thought we had this settled, I’m the best there’s ever been.”

Johnny did you ever know that time keeps marching on
The coldest hour is the one comes just before the dawn
The devil’s back in Georgia will you stand up to the test
Or will you let the devil be the best?

“In truth I haven’t played much since the baby came in June
But give me half a minute an’ I’ll get this fiddle back in tune”

The devil grabbed the golden fiddle out of Johnny’s hand and said
“Though I’m the fiddle player underground and I walk upon the land”

“Y’all just better be just turnin’ back if you want this boy to win
‘Cos practice is the only cure for the predicament he’s in”

“Now devil it would be a sin for you to get my bow
You go on back to hell and to the wood shed I will go”

Johnny are you practising or will your hands grow cold?
The devil walks the land and plays a fiddle made of gold
Can you hear the babe a crying, will he ever know
The devil wants his daddy’s very soul?

Jessies on a milking stool her chores are almost done
Joes V8 comes thru the gate,he calls and says come on
Theyre off to crank the weekend upJoey lets it rip
Pink corellas scatter as they roar across the grid
The motors running wheels are hummin
    spittin that gravel high

look at that lipstick drivin him ballistic
    rolling across the plain
rising moon and sweet purfume heading for the bitumen
four wheel traction heading for the action
    nothin gonna hold them down
just one spark and up she goes
    when country comes to town

    Sing me a song, you’re a singer
Do me a wrong, you’re a bringer of evil
The devil is never a maker
The less that you give, you’re a taker
So it’s on and on and on, it’s heaven and hell, oh well

:) yes, it gets you in once you get the gist of it. The next level is to require the naming of the posted song before being allowed to post another, but let it run as is for a bit.

I had a dream. Crazy dream.
Anything I wanted to know, any place I needed to go

Hear my song. People won’t you listen now? Sing along.
You don’t know what you’re missing now.
Any little song that you know
Everything that’s small has to grow.
    And it has to grow!

    California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain
Honolulu starbright – the song remains the same.

Sing out Hare Hare, dance the Hoochie Koo.
City lights are oh so bright, as we go sliding… sliding… sliding through.

I’m only a virgin at this so my first word will be “I” :woohoo:

Going down a dirty inner city sided road “I” plodded
Madness passed me by she smiled high, “I” nodded
looked about the sky, began to cry, she shot it!!!
