Only 4 of us ventured out in the dampness yesterday.
The humidity was overwhelming  but we managed to put a bit of a ride together.
We found out pretty early that Tait had never rode singles and he struggled through the morning to his credit.
Maisey8 had issues with his bike so he changed the plug and it seemed to go a bit better.
Tait stuck with us until Amazon and then turned for home
The rest of us wrestled our bikes to the top, struggling with the slippery rocks. :woohoo:
We lost Maisey near the top, he took the RH instead of the LH track, probably Tims fault for not showing him  Tim found him again and we decided the other hills could wait for another day.
Rode through the great singles at Bangalow and back to Freemans for a feed. (Only a 6″ was had and I have to admitt it sat in the guts far better than a footlong) :side:
We had planned to do the singles around K9 but Maisey’s bike would have no part of it.
After trying to tow him with a sling that was too short, he decided to check his pilot jet but all seemed clear. We then decided to leave him to push his bike to the road, while Tim and I rode back to get my car and trailer.
Rain fell heavily as we returned to pick him up but he was in good spirits and probably glad to see us.
In my opinion it is still too hot for our four hills ride and will probably wait for cooler conditions before we attempt it again.
In hyndsight, glad we didn’t do our other hills. If Maisey’s bike had of stopped at Congo it would of been a real mission to retrieve his bike.
Thanks, Tait and Maisey for coming out.
Not many pics, will post them later.
Cheers

February 18, 2014 at 8:49 pm #254295Nice one Murph. Nice to ride with less dust though!
Never fun to have bike trouble. I’ve pulled down a carb in the bush without success (5min from the car). Turned out to be a full tank of crap fuel from the servo.February 20, 2014 at 7:13 am #254298Let us know if you will be stopping in on your travels, as soon as you can, Axel.
If ya’s are camping we might be able to put a couple of tents/swags in the back yard.
Keep us posted. Here is the other pic of Maisey8, that photobucket didn’t want to post the other night.
Amazon aint getting any easier. Not for me anyway.
Cheers
MurphFebruary 20, 2014 at 7:41 am #254320Just got back from a trip down the South Coast
Some surfing and a day at Bungonia, where I found what could be a great single.

Or not.
This hill tested the nerve a little. Its a road that runs from the coast into the southern highlands. At least this section was tared. The hill before this was not and we had the Nissan jumping and bucking towing our little van. Suffered much abuse from the Misses. :S All was good and when we reached the main drag again it bucketed down.
Life is an adventure
Get out there
Cheers

Nah, “Gentleman Adam” will be in charge of your riding, would love to tag along and maybe influence some for a testier variant.
Cheers
