For sale 85 XR 250R

I have for sale a 85 XR250 R bike. I brought this about 2 years ago to get back into riding and have since updated and so no longer need it.

Has had new piston and rings fitted and is on the last bore but has been scored. Is running and very rideable but needs a little work. Also a seal on the forks needs replacing. Side cover has a small crack in it and has been filled with metal putty and is holding tight although there is a very small oil leak from this area. There is a hole in the side plastic that sits over the exhaust.

Is rec registered and all the wiring is there for indicators etc. I had it ready at one stage for full road registering. Comes with a couple of spares including the manual.

This is tempting as my first XR was a 250 RE 84 model, same twin carby setup. This being a RF 85 is very close maybe as close as it gets

I loved that bike, had a lot of success with it actually

Yeah rode without a helmet

When I had two bikes the XR and the KTM that replaced it till I woke up :laugh:
