Well after months of procrastination and avoiding the subject I am finally forced to seriously sell my SD990R. Advertised elsewhere for $16500 it has a long list of mods and customizations. Purchased new and have meticulously maintained this bike for its whole life. Has been detailed after every ride and the oil has been changed every 3 months regardless of Klms, only full synthetic ester based oil used. I even dropped the budget crap procycles put in it and replaced with decent oil after its first service at 1000Klms.
Fully Adjustable everything
Motohooligan airbox mod,
Aftermarket secondary throttlebody butterflies,
O2 eliminator,
Motohooligan SAS blockoff plates,
Billet Aluminium Heel Guards and Carbon Fibre guards (swap for preference)
Frame Sliders X 2 (full kit upper and lower)
LC8 Clutch Cover with replacable slider
Ergo Gel Seat Power Part + Original Seat
Billet aluminium levers and folding clutch lever
Bar end mirrors (optional)
Touring Screen + original
FMF APEX Full carbon exhausts
Akropovic Headers
Custom Fuel Injection Map
Power mod to unlock Full Engine Horsepower in 1st and 2nd (Standard is restricted)
KTM sexy orange rear sprocket
The Tail Tidy mod from hell with Led flush mount indicators
KTM R Spec Tank Pad
etc etcThis is the slickest meanest SD you will find if I do say so myself and if you were crazy enough to bolt on a power commander its basically a track bike .
This bike will out wheelie, out corner and out brake anything on the road if you are good enough to ride it to a fraction of its capability
Not for the faint hearted, definately only for more aggresive riders but the right owner will love it as much as I have
Advertised elsewhere for 16500 will sell for 15K

What’s up, does Mrs Squiggle want her trumpy back after seeing how you treat it. A set of knobbies and some enduro saddle bags and enduro from duffle from Adventure Moto would fit on the super duke – whack a bash plate on it – it’ll be fine
Seriously – nice looking bike. You obviously need to save some points on your licence

I think Mrs Squiggle is of the opinion that if I wreck it, I own it, and SHE gets a new one. ……. pffft, maybe for christmas Ill buy her a new 300EXC
She has threatened to paint it pink on a number of occasions ……. so Ill be riding a pink triumph XC before I adventurize a superduke
BTW, did someone just buy a DR plindz? hmmmm?

August 21, 2013 at 11:07 am #248434No – actually my mate has bought it – i just set it up with Lotsa. He is keen as hell to join the adv/nav league.
No way I could part with the WR. Spent to much on it to park it next to the 800 to gather cob webs. Havin’ a ball on the thing now. :woohoo:August 21, 2013 at 11:28 am #248435ahhhh, curiosity satisfied, I did wonder
Your mate is in luck, that bike will have all the work done, maybe you should have done same before you gold plated your WR with accessories
Sitting here watching footage, gotta get out on the big bike again before major service, Ill put together a ride and post her up before the little bike bug bites again
August 21, 2013 at 11:43 am #248438Yeah – thought about it (DR650) but the WR was too pristine and low k’s to not convert over. Makes an awesome adv bike. Anyhow my mate is happy as a “TB with a custom helmet”.
Good luck with the sale of the Duke – would be great to ad to the stable but would probably struggle in the 1st creek crossing
Let me know when going out – hopefully the moons align :woohoo:
November 5, 2013 at 7:02 am #248440Well, its gone to a new home in sunny western Australia for the bargain basement price of $13500.00, took a bit of a hit on that one.
November 5, 2013 at 8:12 am #251385Hope it’s not C O D – who knows what it will look like by the time it gets to WA
