I will be heading up there some time today to see if a section of track is ridable. According to my maps if it is passable it will tie in great with the loop we will be doing tomorrowB)

I’ve got a map so I’m comfortable getting to the basin, but out of curiousity, who/where is Jerry and his Garage?
Is this sort of on the way from newcastle?
Or Is it just code for some form of German motorworks (I promise I won’t mention the war….)

jerry’s garage is on george downes drive a few kays down from the turnoff onto walkers ridge forest road where the NPWS building is which leads into the basin.

it will take about 15 minutes from Jerry’s to get down to the basin.

i went for a drive up there today to make sure i new where i was going. the forest roads into the basin are ok for 2wd cars for those who werent quite sure there are plenty of signs indicating where to go. it is very easy to find.

im driving straight there and will be aiming at getting there by 9.

twobanger its the same servo we did on mots ride and the female cop came up to us

if youre coming from newcastle way another option is to go by sealed road through yarramalong. take sparks rd exit off f3, south along hue hue rd, right onto yarramalong rd , up bunble hill at yarramalong , right onto george downs rd an a couple of km to jerrys.
