    gday all,

I thought i would have a tinker with the bike considering i havent ever set it up properly. I tried to adjust all my clickers out to soft before any adjustments as stated in the Teknik setup guide. Heres where i find my problem, one of the compression adjusters feels seized, is it a matter of wd40 and keep trying or do i need to replace the part. If i keep just trying to undo it i will end up buggering up the clicker adjustment head.
if i need to replace it is it an easy job or difficult? Any help would be good.

    cheers

after looking at this problem on the net, i believe that ill have to remove the adjuster and try and free it up internally. Can anybody tell me if when i remove the adjuster from the bottom of the forks on the DRZ, is that going to release the fork fluid?

    cheers

    Ryno,

Try anti-sieze first. The inside components are in oil anyway.

From memory to loosen the compression dampener you need to hold a component inside the fork. I will check the manual tomorrow. I’m guessing you’ve tried to move the clicker in both directions (just incase the previous owner had already screwed them all the way out).

Is it only oneside or both that’s stuck?

Usually the manual refers to settings from fully closed or hard (clockwise until a stop is felt) not fully soft or all the way out.

    Adam.

Just re-read the first post so ignore my question.

    hey Adam,

Cheers for the reply, ive only tried to adjust them as you normally do with a screwdriver. Ive owned the bike since new and adjusted the suspension once whilst on a moto x track to prevent bottoming.

So if i remove the compression adjustment piece will that drop the fork oil?

    just an update,

Got some CRC spray and soaked the adjuster from the outisde. left it for 20 mins and gave it another shot. After slightly damaging the head, it freed up.
