Hey Crew
I know I am preaching to many who are converted but I had my fork customed by Teknik in Penrith and it is amazing. I ripped it off my rig and flew it down to Sydney where it was done in a day. I spoke to the guys in detail a month before I dropped it off and then again the day before.
They took all my stats and my requests onboard and it wasn’t until I put it back on my bike that I realised just how big a difference it would make.
They had originally told me what they planned to do but after pulling it apart called me that morning with a different plan of attack, not more expensive but a different approach and they wanted to contact me first to talk me through it. Very pro.
As a result I am the proud owner a fork that is built specifically for me rather than one that was bulit for the other 20 million WR owners.
Sweet!
If you have messed with your clickers and are still not happy I highly recommend you find a local technician and get yours sorted.
April 28, 2009 at 10:33 am #131260that much difference ey stm,
good stuff keep the good reviews rolling or bouncing in your caseApril 28, 2009 at 10:36 am #131265Yeah Mate
Made the bike better, but me, well that may take some time:lol:
April 28, 2009 at 10:38 am #131261bello will wear you both in nicely! lol:laugh:
April 28, 2009 at 10:50 am #131266It is that boggy on the Coffs Coast right now I don’t even need suspension, a winch would be more useful although the way the weather has been the last week it looks likme by the time the Bello Bash comes around it should be tacky nirvana.
Bring that shit on!
April 28, 2009 at 10:50 am #131267i wouldn’t mind getting the WR sorted properly for my style. How much do they normally charge for a set up if you dont mind me asking?!!
April 28, 2009 at 10:56 am #131270It depends if you need new coils, revalve, seals and wipers. I had all three done and it was $500.
They offer a satisfaction guarantee so if you are not happy they will rework it. It sounded like a fair chunk of change to me but that is forgotten now and the ride is much more memorable. If you only need a revalve and seals it is about $350.
April 28, 2009 at 11:17 am #131278I had the forks on the DRZ done by Teknik, best money you’ll ever spend on ya bike. Rear shock will be done on the DRZ soon.
This is the second bike i’ve had done by them, they previously transformed my XR.
April 28, 2009 at 11:32 am #131288I hear Scotty
Once I sort out the bearings in my linkage I will book the shock in and get it dialled. The boys at Teknik said they keep the details of the fork work on file so they can work the shock so that it is balanced to the fork.
Now if I can only remeber where I planted that money tree:lol:

April 28, 2009 at 12:25 pm #131294I had Frank Pons revalve the forks and shock on the sherco and it is the best money i’ve spent on the bike. Made so much difference to the handling. Now I feel much more confidant in loose rocky stuff. I’d recommend to anyone to get the suspension sorted to suit you before any other mods.
April 28, 2009 at 12:31 pm #131262I too had the guys at Teknik sort out my forks.Thumbs up from me too.Going to pull my rear shock out soon and get them to weave there magic on that as well.
April 28, 2009 at 12:33 pm #131311Tekniks built most of my bike the engine included, my suspension is trick ask fathead, rider X and Ollie seen it go up a rocky hill
And as far as the engine goes its not lacking thats for sure and has the klms on it to prove its been a good jobTB
