Met up with Gocman as planned at clarence and planned out a rough map to suit us,as Gocman hasn’t been up here many times should be fresh for him which ever way we go.
Husky started first kick which was pleasing but i should have known it was a sign that it was just messing with me. About five kays in lofting over 3 puddles all was good on puddle 1 and 2 then got some wheel spin on the island between last one and came up short hitting a 4b’s rutt or something pulling the bars out of my hands and unwanted departure from the seat. Shoulder took the brunt and left leg so after some recovery time played on.
Was interesting to see riding injured makes you do some stupid shit and bounced of some trees for a while.
So new plan was skip some singles for a couple of kay and recover then get back into it.
Showed gocman some favourite sections of mine and he was enjoying them so took him on some rocky climbs for fun.
This is when i noticed his KTM has tractor like performance, on climbs never looking like stalling evan from low revs, he mentioned it’s got a recluse.New tire and recluse on his 300 was a good combo. So from then on i called it the tractor.
Hooked up with plenty of singles for the return trip, when i saw a trailer stashed in the bushes loaded with a tarp and pushie but no car and no where near a road?
Linked up well on the return leg which was good as im used to heading the other way and tracks where linking up nicely but fuel was becoming an issue.
Hit reserve at 86k and ended up at 96k all up so was a good day out, thanks for coming along gocamn.
Back at the car i was looking at my helmet and leatt and could see i hit my head and leatt on the ground so guess they did there job.

    cheers

You got that right TB all that space to yourself it’s awesome, but when i’m driving to work on weekends and see bikes on trailers i get :(

PPE worked well but have been thinking may have been better off with a pressure suit, style shoulder guard might have protected better, might have saved me using so much voltaren and panadol

Body armour is for roost protection end of story in my opinion, pressure suit offers so much more all over protection for crashing :pinch: and crash we all do from time to time 😆

At least its all good, I mean the voltaren, panadol and beer :P

 That sounds like a good prescription.

I agree i’m going to look into it,my elbow guards are almost r/s so good timing. Just gotta work out camelback issue, the zac armour comes with a conversion to eliminate the chest plate ill have to try it out.

Nice when you get out there for a play and dont have to worry about running into others B)

The 300 with a Rekluse is a very good combo ;)

Had a great day, exhausted by the end of it. Made me realise just how unfit I really was.
Twobanger knew that place like the back of his hand, the ride had a mixture of singles, fire trails and tricky rocky climbs.
A couple of times my bikes throttle was sticking, so when I got back home I gave it a good clean but I think the barkbusters were pressing against the throttle, all sorted now.

Thanks to Twobanger for leading me around all day I had a ball.
Also is there any chance that you could email the pics to me, I might use one of them as my profile pic

    Cheers
