I took a Ride down to Penrith two days ago via Mitchell’s pass,(about 4km long, drop of about 400m) and crossed the lights at the bottom of the hill and noticed the bike seamed to be working harder to move.

By the time I reached the shops about 500m from the lights the bike was really struggling. When I went to engage the front break the force needed to compress it was much more that usual.

I pull over turnd the bike off and checked it out. With in about 30sec you could not compress the leaver at all.
There was no visual sings of damage or anything that looked wrong. And the back break was fine. No change.

On a short ride to the riff and back I had decided to leave the tool bag at home. But now I was thinking that was not such a good idea. But wait there is a 2$ shops around the corner, they might have some tools??

I waited a few more minutes to assess the situation, and started trying to compress the lever.
After a few goes there was some movement back and a minute or so of compressing it the full range of movement had returned.

My thoughts turnd to what it could be?? Air pressure change?? Air in the line?? Old fluid??

Anyone had similar or know what’s going on??

    Cheers.

When you talk about compressing the lever, do you mean it would just come straight back to the bar and have no pressure or was it solid would move towards the bar?

If I had to guess I reckon it was just coming back to the bar  because it had boiled being old fluid . There is a lot written about brake fluid and like arse holes everybody has an opinion  I got your PM so what about you drop over next week one arvo. We can chew the fat about the APC, setups and GPSs etc and while we do that we can reverse bleed your brake with some brake fluid that I got that wont boil
