I was looking at goggles this past weekend at a local motorcycle shop and some of the prices are high!!
I currently use a dual sport helmet when riding as I used to hate the goggles as they fogged up and were a constant pain to clean etc.. The dual sport visor fogs up as well and sometimes worse than the old goggles..
Thinking of going back to G G Goggles…
I was wondering if these Anti Fog Goggles are truly Anti Fog?
Any particular brand I should be looking at?
What is the expected price range I should expect?
Any and all feedback good or bad smart or not welcome… :woohoo:
June 17, 2010 at 3:41 am #182047I don’t know which are the best brands but it depends on how well you look after them too, if your not the type to treat them well (like me), then it’s not worth paying the bigger dollars. Most you can buy replacement lenses for anyway but the foam that keeps the dust out can perish pretty quickly on the cheaper ones. I just bought my 3rd pair in 5 years, the first 2 pairs were only around the $35 mark but this last pair were around $80 so it will be interesting to see if I get double the time out of them.
I also use RainX on the inside of the goggles which helps to minimise fogging.

I would also suggest that you take your helmet with you when buying new goggles to make sure they fit properly.

June 17, 2010 at 4:17 am #182051Ok.. So I suppose you use the anti fog version of their product line? I may give that a go first on me dual sport visor…
June 17, 2010 at 4:45 am #182052Hi Krusty
I have just changed mine(sofala ride)previous pair for about 12 months. I have changed the lenses once in that time,(new lenses) but i do change lenses depending on the conditions each ride. I have a dual lense and a normal lense – dual for misty rain/fogging type days, normal for all others. I only ever wash inside of the lense with wet tissue, unless on a ride(chamois).
When i was after a ride, i put goggles into net bag and put in washing machinecheers Hatto

I bought a pair of Scott’s from Suttos last night at the tire changing event.. Got a great deal and Mal, Mal 5.1 and TB went through in minute detail what I thought I might want
I ended up with a Non Sweat, Anti Fog version and also was advised to buy a pair of dual lens.. Oh and they will allow me to wear eye crutches without any hassles..
TB guarantees no fog..
Cheers…
Chris………..
June 18, 2010 at 1:02 am #182084I just use the normal rainx inside and out and find that it usually works well.

Its going to get me into trouble with the “minister of all things” :woohoo:
June 18, 2010 at 6:59 am #182088In all honesty the best I have ever used for riding in wet foggy conditions was safety specs as they allow a good airflow.
I do like progrip goggles find they are good quality and last well when properly lookd after. In saying that for the last 6 years my sponsor has been supplying Oakley “L” frame carbons and they last pretty good as well
