Galey’s Mad Monday Ride was full of madness is all that I can say.

A hardy group of Gocman KTM300, Mal3.0 “Can Ride” Heavily Blinged up Christophe Nambotin GASGAS 300, Wazzup XR400 and myself were they lucky ones enjoying the Sunny Corner Loam.

A couple of new hills were ridden in, The Maddening (grade 3/4) and the ZigZag (grade 3) .Three quarters of the way along the Maddening Goccy told me he was never riding this track again!! Man up my fellow 2ster. It was a bit tough, Gocman can add the sob story details later, but it has a thrilling finish which is what I most pleased about. Gocman was actually the first to crest the summit from our group!! WTF. You boys are going to hate it or love it.

The Zigzag was fairly easy, running in nicely and berming up on the swift corners. Even the run up to the log jump, which Gocman tackled numerous times, is OK. HE was stuck either side of the log when I came down to give him a hand to get over it. Instead I pushed him back off it and told him to have another go and do it properly. Well he nearly spat the dummy like a 4ster does. He got the hang of it.

Mal took to the virgin tracks like Clarkyktm to a camp fire. Nothing was too hard for the pro.

A lot of trees were down and this made plans go astray. But I had fun. Not sure about the others?
Some singles to a new section we ride where I want to find some new singles. I will call him “The Valley Run”, then we dropped off Mal at base and had lunch and refuelled ready to go again.

We hit up Zigzag again, gave Galeys a miss as the XR was getting hard to start and did some FT’s. Through a mucky swamp section I was able to Christen Goccy’s new number 39 with some swamp filth.

We tackled the A4DE pines with Goccy getting 10mins head start before I hunted him down catching him 3 corners from the end. Good job mate.

Back at base by 3pm we left Gocman who headed home while Wazzup said he was keen for another hour. Ok, some grade 3 stuff coming up. With a bit of Ft’s and some singles we toured around the playground.

. We tackled a grade 3 hill climb with Dan giving it the Ok to climb and he took the lead. Just as well I followed him as I saw him get it all wrong and face sideways to the hill and fall down the hill in a nasty tumble. He was a bit winded but Ok. He wanted to push on but I took us back as I think he was fatigued and I didn’t want a drama late in the day.

Galey you’re a machine’, you love those virgin hills.

Another great ride with great company.

Well there is no sob story :unsure: but im always up for a challenge. I must admit I was about half way up the mountain ( Maddening ) and Im thinking, there is no end to this track, weaving in and out, dodging fallen trees. But once Maddening had been ridden in it will be perfect. The last 50metres there is a long straight section, straight up. You need a run up because the higher you get the steeper it is.

The weather was perfect, no dust. Hanging for the next ride on the virgin hills.

Well Galey i must thank you on an excellent day of fun :unsure: and adventure.
Sunny corner has probably the best riding i’ve had so far and when led by someone who knows the place as well as you it was non-stop action. apart from the times spent picking me up off the ground
I had a great time belting through the pines and hitting the fire trails and although i may of looked (and sounded) out of my comfort zone which at times i probably was i would do it all again… maybe in a couple of days though when everything stops hurting 😆

Great stuff Wazzup. Nice to see you worked out the video uploads. Good job filming and posting them up.

I said it on the day and I will say it here , You did a bloody good job punching above your grade level that day. Your fitness and bike skills have improved since I last rode with you on the B’day ride. No prizes for coming first either. And you never whinged or complained to me either.

Hope the body is OK after the nasty tumble.
