Today I received my new (to me) Garmin 60CSx in the mail. It doesn’t have a scratch on it, so was happy with the $250 I paid when they are starting at $300 on ebay in the US! Well that’s the good news.
Bad news is that my computer doesn’t recognise it… says it’s installing device driver software and then “device driver software not installed”.
I have Windows 7 64bit ( from my reading on the subject that means something). I have read of some people on the webby who have had theirs work then suddenly stop working when Windows has updated???
Thus far I have downloaded the Garmin device drivers, Garmin trip and waypoint manager and basecamp. I have reset the GPS and wiped everything that was on it… I have tried different USB slots and a couple of other mini USB cords I have. I have read every thread I can find on the ‘net and thus far NOTHING HAS WORKED. I know it is connecting to the computer because it powers up and uses the computer power on all cords and USB ports. There is NO SD card in it. Does it need one to work/connect?
Any idea’s?
