Has anyone had their struts reconditioned?
My old Commodore tailgate wont stay up anymore.
Found a reconditioned strut merchant who offers 12 mth warranty (www.gasrestrut.com.au) but I wonder if the struts last much longer than that?

Have you tried pricing a new one from supercheap or auto one. Just takes yours off and match it up at the shop. I think the last time I did it they were about $40 each.

I had some struts recon’d in the UK for an old car and they were great. I can’t comment on longevity as I sold the car 6 months later. I can’t see any problems with it.

If you can pick new ones for $40 each though I don’t think I’d bother.
