Your Gas Gas is the best 2 smoker I’ve ridden Ollie. I might be a bit premature in saying that as I only has a very quick go. The power delivery is excellent and the suspension felt great, I was just struggling with your back brake lever being about an inch higher than your footpeg and the lack of engine braking. Oh and the buzzing sensation in my hands when I stand up!

    Great little bike though.

Yeh thanks Moto,it took a lot of mucking around to get the power delivery the way I like it. when I rode yous and Matts bike I overshot the first few corners as the rear brake was so far down:laugh: Suspension is a bit soft for me still but the action is noice and compliant. Anyone got any remedies for the vibration,Ie type of bars gloves or clamps, after wringing its neck for a day I also get numb hands from the vibrations.

Ollie, KTM have thing called PHDS which is progressive handlebar damping system (sit back and wait for the sh*t). It is basically different grades of rubber sandwhiched in between your bar clamps that softens the ride. The degree of ‘softness’ can be altered by changing the grade of rubber.

I’m sure there must be this sort of setup available for other bikes as an aftermarket kit.

I definately look at a set if I was going to buy a smoker :)

Moto I think this handle bar system is there on KTM’s to soften the blow when ya crack ya nuts on the bars after the PDS has bucked you over the front.

    Sorry you asked for it!

Oh, by the way I noticed that Cas Gas went to $7100 and didn’t meet reserve.

Yeh not a bad idea Moto I think Shane Watts uses a flex bar setup as his wrists are all fugged up. The RMX has rubber dampers in the lower clamps which I found helped as well.

TB 4 stroke? I just got rid of a boat anchor, alright on the cruisy long distance ride you do a lot of,but for the tight single trail that I mainly do 2 stroke all the way mofo:laugh:

yeh Scotty could not have been far off, I picked mine up for $7000 with similar K’s suppose $4000 is a lot to lose in depreciation in just 500 km’s

When my boat anchor sailed past you in riding conditions (the tighter conditions, I made sure I only came up behind in the tighter conditions)that should have suited your performance two stroke more then my heavy out dated 4 stroke you should have told me and I may not have passed you, twice! Not that it is important ;)

Flex bars like these you mean

    flexx.jpg

D Grabham ran them at Finke and they feel weird, would try before I buy with those :P
