Just saying hello… I’m at Raymond Terrace and ride a Ural outfit. I’m hoping there might be a trip or two I can join you all on…

    Hi Ross
Great ride you’ve got and by far the funniest signature I’ve seen :D !
I’d really like to know more about your bike and more pics would be good.
    Welcome to old bulls

Yep, produced in the town of Irbit in the Ural mountains…

Looks haven’t changed much in 60 years but lots of not so obvious changes make them a reliable everyday bike now.

That photo was taken on an ADVrider weekend between Gunnedah and Upper Horton. About 750km for the weekend, 170km of that on the dirt.

This weekend we’re off to Coffs Harbour for a Ulysses get together…

The local importer is at Kentucky, near Uralla and hires them as well. There’s something appropriate about the Ural warehouse being a shearing shed…

The shop at Greenhills was all but closed last I was up there. The sidecar is standard, you don’t get a choice…

Price? Around $15-$19,000 depending on the model. Mechanically all models are the same, it’s all in the colour and accessories.

Terrible Vale Rd – go along it and you’ll find a little blue sign that says ‘Ural Australia”. We had a weekend up there last year which was great.

It would make a nice day out to go sample the bikes. The local Ulysses branch did that recently and had a good day from what I hear.
