Hi Mal
I honestly can’t say I noticed the goggle frame when riding , the blue light that I thought could be annoying is only visible if you look up so I think general vision is good.I like the idea of the Gopro mounted on the chest too
July 31, 2011 at 1:45 am #205820Does the camera have a 50 fps (frames per second) setting?

July 31, 2011 at 1:06 pm #205822Nick,
I know you said the goggles have all replaceable parts. Can you get new foam parts for the bit that goes against your face and the air vents at the top and bottom. The air vent foam always goes on my normal goggles and next thing you know your eyes are dust city. The camera part certainly looks the goods, my only concern would be the goggle part lasting the distance. I’m guessing all this has been worked out as you don’t exactly have to be a rocket scientist to realise that goggle longevity is an important part of the system.

The camera screws into the goggles from the inside so once the goggles are trashed the camera can unscrew and fit into a new pair. When I bought them I was told that every part was replaceable so I don’t think their would be a problem !
August 2, 2011 at 12:43 pm #205771This is the response I got from Liquid Image after I sent them an email regarding camera angle.
They got back to me straight away and have a solution , I’m happy with thatHi Nick,
We are in the process of developing a wedge that will tip up the camera
angle about 10%. If you’re interested let me know and I can send one to you
when it comes in.Thank You,

I would assume this is possible?
Cheers
Chris.August 2, 2011 at 3:27 pm #206029Hi Chris , the RRP is $400 but Grafton motorcycles looked after me as I buy a heap of gear from them and it was their first pair sold.
I have forwarded your question about ‘blank’ goggle sets to Stacey at Liquid Image in America.I’ll be keen to know the answer too

That’s from my LOCAL bike (who introduced me to a product I knew nothing of , always look after me with good deals and I’d be gutted if they closed down to overseas shopping ) shop in AUSTRALIA. Yes Krusty

Interesting response to an observation, a valid observation at that for a product review.
I wasn’t questioning your loyalty to your local shop either as I’m sure you have a great relationship with them being the good bloke that you are..
Not sure why you brought forth the overseas shopping issue either as it is irrelevant..
BTW – Nice product and the video footage provided in the Coffs ride was awesome.. I think it is a much better perspective than a helmet mounted camera.. It would be an interesting comparision between the goggles and a chest mount setup..

For the sake of a good product review I think the person that bought the googles is happy with the price he paid as he didnt shop anywhere else or ask where he could buy one cheaper.
So how good is that footage

August 2, 2011 at 5:34 pm #206045I thought you said $250us. That’s overseas price isn’t it ?
I didn’t pay RRP and I think most people that have a good relationship with their bike shop could get a bit of a discount.
My concern with paying $250 US would be if the goggles were faulty and where I’d stand with warrenty. Sending them back etc. I’m happy to pay the $100 or so more not to have the hassle

I did yes.. But not to suggest we buy them.. I was just questioning the high RRP  in Australia is all… $250 US is currently around $233AU.. That’s RP so there is a drastic markup as it made its way to your local bike shop… As with a lot of items.. Once you add shipping a bloke such as yourself who is looked after will pay close to the same and as you said you get the added value of dealing with your local shop for any warranty issues…
anyway we are digressing..
