anyone know a good product that helps to make the rain bead off goggles and is there anything you can apply to help stop fogging:(
April 2, 2009 at 8:35 am #127832“Rain-X” on the outside and you then spit on the inside rub it around a little and presto no fogging on the inside and water runs straight off the outside:laugh:
April 2, 2009 at 8:39 am #127842or you can buy fog free lenses boony. they are double layer. ive had them before they work good too.
and rain-x is great, or for an alternative use any type of car wax. its great on windscreens so its great on goggles
April 2, 2009 at 8:43 am #127846If its been pissing down and you are riding single track and getting hit across the dial with wet branches, the best thing I have found is the good ol safety specs with Daves recommended treatment as there is a lot more airflow.

April 2, 2009 at 8:47 am #127849I have a pair of double lens in my scott turbo flow goggles and then as a back up I always carry a set of safety specs in my camel back and will pull them out when the others cant cope , which is pretty heavy constant rain that most normal people would not ride in:)

good idea might have to put a pair in camel pac pocket.
April 2, 2009 at 8:50 am #127851the double lens are good ive had a few pairs but after a while the foam perishes a bit and dust gets between the lenses and you cant get it out. so i just rip the inner lens off and keep using them as a single from then on.

Nothing worse than trying to ride in the rain with no eye protection.
Also if it’s raining and cold I’ll put latex surgical gloves under my riding gloves to keep the hands dry.
April 2, 2009 at 9:33 am #127857I’m more than a little concerned to go riding with you Mal knowing that your wearing surgical gloves.

yeh I thought I might sneak away from this thread when someone mentioned latex:huh:
April 2, 2009 at 10:00 am #127870oh come on guys. Once you’ve tried latex on there’s no going back. I converted a bunch of guys from flirtbikeworld one chilly winters day.

I bet menace has tried them.
On the upside if someone lets the blood out of themselves, you’re there ready with gloves to render first aid. :cheer:
I’d better stop now, I’m haveing to many wrong thoughts.
