i just use the cheaper scott ones and have a set of scott desert goggles for hot fast dusty days that keep the dust out good but fog up real easy.

Would you take offence Mick if I said that was just plain dumb   If you would I will just think it. Umm replacement eyes wonder where you get those or do they grow back

Scott twin Lense are my humid wet but not raining option, raining, safety glasses with a yellow tint. Muddy days Draggon (Nate Adams style) with tear offs. Dry dusty day my Oakleys with the blue tint lense

    (yes I have a goggle fetish :P )

Dumb you think :) I could say your just a soft cock,,,but I want :P If I am riding in dusty or fast conditions I will wear them, otherwise nah there not for me,,,,and if I am going to worry about things like that when riding then no point in getting out of bed,,,,the way I see it there is sooooo many other things that could F*#k my day that this is the least of my worry’s.

    Cheers Mick.

I have been the same for 30ty years and fully undrstand what ( might ) happen but then so could so many other things,,,most of the riding I do these days is slowish single fire trails,,,,,at the end of the day it is each to there own and thats ok by me,,,,good luck in finding a pair of goggles that dont fog up, get scratched or sit on ya face perfect.

    Cheers Mick.

Yes Mick your right I meant no offence ;) Please accept my most humble apology

The scott twin lense I find, sit great, definitely doesnt fog and if your careful you can prevent scratches, if you havent been using goggles for 30 years and you ever wish to try them I think you maybe suprised mate :)

I got my other half into bikes about 3 years ago for her 40ty th birthday and I reckon she has the best idea and that is to wear work safety glasses, saves your eyes but allows plenty of air in when it is warm,,best I wear them I reckon, after this chat I will proberly have a eye incident  touch wood that does not happen.

    Cheers Mick.

Eye protection is one of my little Soap box operas

Years ago was riding out west as part of a group of roadbike riders, I passed a mate at around 240 klicks he was doing 180ish with a pair of sunnies on, my sticky rear hoop picked up a bit of gravel and it smashed his sunnies. At the Inverell hospital they picked hardened plastic out of the muscle around his eye, he was a lucky lad.

Me I have only one functional eye, the other was stuffed in a botched cancer operation, now try this put a patch over one eye and go riding, now ride tight S/T, see how many trees and things you wipe out with the blind side, notice how long it takes to adjust to shadows and recurring light, how hard it is to judge distance, me i would do almost anything to get that sight back, maybe I could get some of my old speed back then.

    I’m like TB but for different reasons (he’s just a fetishist… ;) )
I have shaded safety glasses for foggy or wet
Oakley crowbars with a variety of and including polarised lense for everyday stuff
Oakley overglass ones in a heavy tint (I don’t wear glasses but they’re roomy)
Thor Ally in a moo cow pattern with tint cause they’re cool looking
And Menace has seen these, my “Harley rider” bug eye goggles (like swimmers ones) that are pretty fog-proof

I’m sorry but I reckon betwixt us TB and I would have 80 years + experience of riding and riding mishaps and goggles are up there with helmets, before gloves and boots for sure.

    Bruce Cee
