I’ve been exploring alot of tracks recently too and it takes it’s toll as they are really overgrown. The sticks, twigs, nines and spiders are wasit height, not head height and I try to ride as far in as I can.
I could look after the lenses better but it never seems like top of the list when I’m riding. It seems top of the list when I go to put them on the next ride though and they’re so scratched I go and sit on the IT instead of the Berg
I remember that one Scotty, nasty, the Lanatan was out to kill us all that day!
September 26, 2012 at 3:17 am #229927I got a neck scratch by a vine of some sort on last weekends ride at Bello, not as good as that Scotty but still left a mark. Somehow got one on my forehead between the helmet and goggles too.
It scares you more than anything when you feel it ripping across your neck.

Then I remembered how you ride ride and pictures of you bike Moto and can see you problem
Like LC and PTW said a nose guard is a must for vines and roost.

Ducking does not always work. Especially where I live.

Sure there is always the case were somebody goes the extra yard for a little attention
Seriously but I have been peeled of the bike my fair share of time in the Watos but thats the best I have ever seen. You are so right LC nothing gets my attention straight away like a vine on the neck area

September 26, 2012 at 3:28 am #229932Yeah yeah under nose the little nick that just pisses you off for days
September 26, 2012 at 10:20 am #229934Brown or clear. Vison it’s a tricky thing.
Personally, I use the goggles that are on special at my local. It’s amazing the clarity you get sometimes.
Failing that, I’ll have whatever Micks using :woohoo:

September 26, 2012 at 11:24 pm #229944Good one Moto. Luckily I had back up in my absence.
I run water in my pack and carry Powerade in zip bags and eat it like Wizz Fizz at each stop. Easier to keep the water bag free from mould and also I get more of a “hit” when requiredSeptember 27, 2012 at 2:11 am #229959axel wrote:Good one Moto. Luckily I had back up in my absence.

Just came back from a ride and I have one of those little nicks up under my nose 👿 , even with the nose guard.

Boonyextremely clear
I tend to scratch the lenses as well ,
I came up with the idea of pulling the lense out …………it improves vision dramatically
It improves the adrenalin rush as well cause you have to shut your eyes regularly

September 28, 2012 at 10:15 am #230000A little while back (okay more than 10 years ago) when I had a bit of spare cash I had purchased some of those holographic lenses, I think they looked like skulls eyes or bullets or something silly. They were tinted. I thought they were crap. Couldn’t see anything in shadow or when the sun got low.
Then I found and removed the protective cover that should have been taken off before use!
Some one I know reckons the yellow ones go okay.. I prefer clear only.
September 28, 2012 at 10:50 am #230008Boony I dont mind the yellow tint.Or orange tint ,they work well on dark or low lit singles,
got on to them doing night time stadium mx and the odd super x,they let you see in the shadows/ruts.
But find in direct sun i get a headake.that could also be the piss from the night before.toes
