January 5, 2012 at 10:53 pm #214132looks good boony if you find the pds kicks or you got the wrong spring rate in it get one of those teknics progressive springs improves the handling heaps a lot beter for jumping logs and in the skaty slippery dry stuff (did on my 09 300 anyway) .those bikes like to chew a bit of oil being an 09 model the standard piston has prably already been changed for a non genuin one .standard ktm pistons suck but non genuin ones fix the problem
January 5, 2012 at 11:55 pm #214136Thats a sweet looking ride you got there mate, how could anyone not like orange and black plastics on a bike? Especially compared to yellow

Classic!
You are going to have a ball on that through those tight pine singles. Just remember to hold a gear and let her sing. You will know it’s time to shift up when you can feel the valves punching the underside of the saddle. :laugh:STM

January 8, 2012 at 10:24 am #214211Congratulations Boony Nice Looking Bike. Best thing I done was down size to a 250 singles a so much more fun.
January 8, 2012 at 8:43 pm #214077On the issue of downsizing, technically I fit the criteria to make that list. 400 down to a 250 but mine is a smoker.
I still have the DRZ but may be finding a new home to make way for a roadie.
January 8, 2012 at 8:50 pm #214078Corey quote “Real men ride real bikes not mountain bikes with motors
[/quote]I like this quote i found somewhere else …….
I thought it was funny anyway
Its ok Boony I don’t really give a hoot what anyone else rides
My 450 is too big for me but who cares I would probably buy another one
But in all seriousness ringing a 250’s neck all the time can’t be good for it ???
You can always go up gears and operate at lower revs but you would probably loose a lot of torque and have to go back to ringing its neck …….?
Each to there own
they can definetly ride fast anyway (Aaron)
Maybe it is just his ability to ride a bike not wether it is a 250 or notAnd Boony those trees in the background will grow better if you water them
