Not looking promising at this stage.

A surface low is expected to develop off the southern Queensland coast around
Thursday which will produce moderate to heavy falls about the NSW north coast
and adjacent ranges until the end of the week.

Computer models indicate that this system could produce falls in the range of
150 to 300 millimetres over this period with local heavier falls possible. See
the Bureau’s Water and the Land web site for further details on forecast rain.

Moderate to major flooding is possible in the following catchments during
Thursday and Friday (21 to 22 May):

1. Tweed
2. Richmond / Wilsons
3. Brunswick
4. Clarence, including the Orara and Nymboida Rivers
5. Coffs Harbour
6. Bellingen
7. Nambucca

A Severe Weather Warning is also current for the area.
