Ok.. better late than never… finally putting pen to paper on the Christmas ride we did on 27th Dec on the Central Coast. I so needed to do something other than drinking and eatng so I with little notice I put up a ride as was surprised others wanted to do a cruisy ride too. It was an opportunity to catch up with some mates and also got to me some new OBT’ers….
So we had:
SMick400, KatGirl, Alyssa, WRSteve, Rach, Cindytalk and James. (unfortunately Whiskey and Monaro66 – 2 new Chic’s to Old Bulls couldn’t make it)Started at Tuggerah …. Kat with her Xmas present on her helmet
Rach on the KTM and Alyssa on the Yamaha
Headed up Ourimbah State Forest (Red Hill)… at the intersection we had a chat then watched WRSteve attempt…. 3 TIMES to get up this ‘little’ hill….. ummm… he didn’t quiet make it…. but he entertained the girls…. :woohoo:
Rach and Cindytalk
Rach in action:
Mick led the way down into Yarramalong then up to Letter A to pick up James then a fang down to the Pines
From left to right – CindyTalk, James, Alyssa and Kat
Once we refuelled at Cooranbong we were back into the forest heading towards Awaba. CindyTalk had to leave us do to other commitments. Here is Alyssa leading the way followed by James, Rach, Kat and WRSteve
Rach , Kat and WRSteve sweeping.
It was about this time that Alyssa had a fall going through a sandy section and hurt her bad ankle. WRSteve got her back up and she decided to keep going…. On tough chic. No photo’s were taken.
James taking his Tenere through some tight sectionsWe found some puddles to play in… Rach negotiating around the mud
Kat just going through them….. had to get the bike dirty
Rach doing the same
Rach following the powerlines
Alyssa decided to take a different line up this short steep hill. Mick took this photo and I was standing on the other side and nearly got taken out…
James enjoying the little leap up
WRSteve did a butt wiggle
We came to a little area where the boys had some fun racing around and jumping where possible
The girls decided to stop and have a chat
Alyssa rode on in pain but made it look easy…
Rach taking a breather as it started to heat up
Mick found some singles before we arrived at lunchtime at the Gap Service Station
Once we had lunch Alyssa and WRSteve decided to head straight home as the ankle was causing problems. So we were left with Rach, James, Kat and Mick…. Dropping like flies in this heat…
Not long after lunch we hit some heavily muddy sections and I was running sweep… but unfortunately we hit a bad section and I went down in the mud and got bogged. James came back and it took two of us to get the 230 out of a deep mud bath.Well when I get dirty… I make sure I do it from head to toe….
After leaving James at the Pines for his solo ride back to Arcadia (via St Albans) Rach, Mick and I decided to take the dirty route along Boundary Rd…. there was mud holes everywhere and tight singles that made for technical riding….. what a way to finish…
Thanks to Mick for leading a leisurely ride and taking the photo’s and WRSteve for sweeping till lunchtime. It was great catching up and also meeting new OBT’ers….

I know you know everyone who rode that day has thanked you and mick already for a great day and me again via a PM yesterday, but I got to thinking that with the late report and all    it was looking a little like your efforts went unappreciated, not the case at allI had a great ride even if it was a little slippery in parts on the Heidenaus
And yes Murph we did cover some klm, cant speak for the others as I didnt follow their exact trax but around 350 I think for me.I had made a point of trying to stand up on the pegs most of the day and by the time I got home felt like I had been kneecapped in both legs 😆
Oh and Mick I am sure when I rode up that little steep hill there was four foot of air under my back tyre.  You better get your camera fixed.
