Greasing Issue

I have just finished greasing the five nipples on my DRZ.

Is it good if grease comes out of the joins or is it bad because it means i have broken a seal ?

Also how the f&*k can i clean the carpet, before the wifey gets home, of grease marks i walked through the house ?

Grease coming out of the joins is Good

Grease on the carpet is Very Bad :laugh:

easy solution go and buy a mat :laugh:

I’d pack the bags and head for the hills. Can’t help with the clean up maybe a bit of diluted degreaser rubbed in gently.
Just finished cleaning the house myself before the lord and master gets home from India tonight. I think I should of paid someone to come in after batching for ten days the joint was a pig stye

By the way happy birthday. I don’t think you will be getting any special present with grease on the carpet. Perhaps just tie yourself to the tree out the back and await the punishment

At least I dont have to worry about the bike then.

I can tell you windex doesnt work on the carpet but at least now i’ve smeared it in enough that if i put the coffe table over it no-one will notice.

Coffee table didnt work. I’m gone.

Nah just joking I think it would probably be the worst thing to use
trial and error
i would use omo to do the stain and hot water after getting excess off

Sorry to upset the apple cart but it depends what sort of bearing or shaft u r greasing
if it was a sealed bearing or not

If it has a nipple from the factory, chances are it is s’posed to be greaes until fresh grease is spotted.

Prewash spray like “Preen” and napisan afterwards diluted in warm water with a cloth and scrubber may help you with the carpet, been there and lived to tell the tail……. but tail was sore :huh:

Buy some spray on carpet cleaner from supermarket, Its called orange power, spray on leave for about half a can and then dab with warm water, spray again drink other half of can dab and alls good!!! Been there done that. PS. Rememeber to dab and not rub :dry:
If that does’nt work drink another can and blame the dog!!

Add 5 parts petrol to 1 parts spark, remove all wanted stuff then crack a red bull and pretend to be shocked.
Or just the 5 parts petrol to the grease…
