Does anyone Know if the great north rd from Bucketty to Wisemans Ferry is rideable and has anyone done it, and what is the road from Wisemans to Bicketty via St Albins ? tar, dirt or gravel ?
I was thinking of putting that loop into a ride that i would like to do.
    Thanks

To my knowledge the Great North Rd has been closed to vehicular traffic for years – there is a lot of protected rock work along the track which is now a walking trail only.

The road from Buckety to St Albans is dirt/gravel with tar from St. Albans to Wisemans

    Yeah Pete,
See someof our reports on Wisemans runs over the years, It is a great run, start and finish with the Watagans thru road as well to add dirt to the trip ;)
Also the run out to Colo & Bilpin is a cracker from there :) :)

    Enjoy
