Bike has been sitting for a while. Prepping it for a ride next week. Won’t start without choke, even when hot. Won’t idle for more than a few seconds.

Presume carby is gummed up or something.

    Have put in fresh fuel.

Bottom of float bowl is green!

Have pulled Mr. Dellorto apart and now I need advice on what I can use to clean this mess up with best?

Either that or I’m going to pull out of another ride.

Don’t soak it in a any thing That likes to eat aluminum. Like degreaser. Or oven cleaner.
Use something like scotchbrite to clean up and blow out with compressed air.
What TB said brings them up like new. Ultrasonic stuff is awesome.

I give up. This thing has fought me all day. I dropped one of the first bolts from the radiator shroud. I heard it drop. Couldn’t have gone that far could it? Farken thing was on the other side of the car on the other side of the garage! And that was just the start! If I can manage to post a photo you’ll all see why it’s beaten me. That’s it. I’ve had bikes up to here :pinch:

Thanks for the offer old man, but given the profanities that came out of me today, I think I’m over bikes. I’ll put if back together, drain all the fluids and hope that in 50 odd years some ‘picker’ will come around and offer my kids some stupid amount for the RARE BIKE!

You could put a low guard on it… and call it an adventure bike :P Though I hear that owning one is quite an adventure in itself! :pinch:
