I agree greenslips can vary wildly from company to company, shopping around can and will save you heaps.

often verbal, but highly selective orally

AnonymousCunning linguistics is my specialty Bruce, if only it were cunnilingus, I could then afford to be ‘highly selective orally’ too
I tried my hand with AAMI and stated that I have fully comp car insurance and CTP for my car with them too, do I get a discount. She said the discount was already built into my price. Right

AnonymousOn a similar sort of note. Do I have to go get my bike pink slipped when my rego is due if it’s less than 3 years old?
April 1, 2009 at 5:19 am #127677Moto on your rego renewal papers It will say whether you need an inspection or not.
If it is under 3 yo I think you are exempt.April 1, 2009 at 5:26 am #127679
AnonymousSweet! Cheers Mick.
It’s not due until July, the thought of sticking all the indictaors and stuff back on, getting a new stand and potentially sorting out road legal tyres is a nightmare though.
Do you guys have places that turn a blind eye on this sort of stuff?
April 1, 2009 at 5:35 am #127681i got a blind mechanic, but i think it would be easier to put all the stuff back on then drive to wollongong to get it done.
bye the way my cousin got his greenslip from nrma for $450, they are usually way expensive, go figure?

you can only ride on 4wd tracks and dirt roads really.
single track is not “supposed” to be used by any vehicle. the fines from the parks rangers are heavier than the ones from the coppers. they will chase you harder than the piggies too.
full road rego, on the other hand, is much better value as you can ride anywhere……except single track….(yeah right).
there are no inspections down here. if you buy a registered bike all you need is a rwc (plenty of dodgy mechanics) and send off the paper work to vicroads, along with some cash, and presto, its done.the only time vicroads see it is if you let the rego expire for more than 3 months, or you buy an unregoed bike.
when i had rec rego put on my KDX200, i siliconed a brake light onto my rear guard (no wiring at all), bought a $5 rear brake light switch and cable tied it on, shoving the wiring up behind the side cover, borrowed one of those chrome squeezy honk honk horns off my nephews pushy, already had a h/light on it (but it didnt work) and took it for an inspection…..
the vicroads chicky “glanced” at it, asked me if it all worked, to which i replied..”of course it does sweety”. then she asked me to start it to check the noise level. i said “no, i cant, im wearing thongs”, she argued a bit but as soon as i mentioned the words “vicroads will be liable if i hurt myself” she soon stopped arguing.
i offered her a go at starting it in her heels and “greyhound” skirt….(one inch from the hair!!) but she unfortunately declined. we went inside, i paid some money, got my sticker and plate….and the rest is history….
(she was a hottie too) (the chick, not the bike!!!)

AnonymousI hope you look after you Kato better than the KDX. It’s still nice to have a cheaper option available to those who accept the fact they can’t ride on the road. I think alot of NSW folk would change to it if it were offered.

I think alot of NSW folk would change to it if it were offered.I reckon you would struggle to find many people at Old Bulls that would Moto, think about it, say at the Watagans for example, Wuachope you cant ride the 2 klms out to start the loop or any of the roads joining those great tracks together, you cant ride out of you house for a quick blast, trailer everytime, no waste of time for most here I reckon.
Cheaper rego like QLD and no inspections, thats a different story, everyone would take that

AnonymousThat’s why I didn’t say Old Bulls and referred to NSW as a whole.
