Two KTM LC4 lower shock bearings.
Both have a split in them. One straight one jagged.
Which one is the new bearing (unfitted)?

Every guess, correct or not gets a T-Shirt and decal care pack, email us on sales@teknikmotorsport.com with your address!
First one to guess the right one gets, umm, something. Ill figure it out!

They may also be both used from 2 different bikes which would indicate a common problem

Ill give you all some hints

One is new, the other used.
The customer supplied the new one to me (name withheld unless he sticks his hand up)
He noticed it was cracked before he gave it to me.
He returned it to the KTM dealer he purchased it from who told him I cracked it putting it in. (It was in a sealed bag, no thanks to the dealer, they are off my Christmas list!)
Seeing as that was not the case the owner got the dealer to order in another, it was cracked too. And another. All stock in Australia was cracked, 9 bearings.
It was then pronounced “normal” and I just fitted a cracked “stock” bearing.

Neither look like mine so I’m not guessing.
For those of you who do know, then I guess its not really a guessing contest. ;)

They have got to be kidding. ;)
Why should you have to fit a cracked new bearing. :pinch:

It’s not uncommon to have a split to fit the inner race. but this like a crack, not a deliberate split.
    I may be wrong….
