A few of as Wauchopian dirt bike riders look like heading down to “Gwando” to hit the local trails. Most of you who know the Wattos should know Gwando, but a bit bakcground anyway??? Gwandaland is just south of swansea, the riding is easy going, open trials with a little tight stuff in between.. There always plenty of water, mud and nice flowing trails.

Looking to head down on the Friday night 15th, stay AT Woongarra (5 acre farm), stay in swags. Ride saturday, pub lunch at Catho Pub, hit the trails again,. Saturday night – Bon fire/few beers and hit the swags, Sunday- either hit the trails again for a quick ride in the morning or head straight back to Wauchoopppe.

Big red is confident he knows the majority of the trails, so should be good. Anyone whos keen let me know and i will provide meet location and times.

    Cheers

Sounds good, I have driven down the highway in that area a few times and thought there might be some good tracks in there. I will confirm later next week but I should be right to go.

i was meant to be racing the elsinore that weekend
could be tempted by this ride though
i like gwando. it is very nice
but i’m from swansea so i declare bias
i thought i was one of the very few who liked it though
still curious why people would travel from wauchchpians would be so keen
is there a national or state round comming up?

Just sharing the love, you know how it is, a few mates live and ride around gwando- so i thought i’d better pay some back since they have been up in GODS country the last few rides” WAUCHOPE” yer yer.

The few wauchopians coming looking like leaving friday arvo say 5.00 pm and stayin at the property (145 bruce cresent, wallarah). Ride is looking like we will leave from the farm also and head through the bush up to Gwando, ride up and around gwando, probably refuel at the big prawn if required. Lunch at Catho pub, then start making our way back to farm to stay Saturday night. If any bodys keen we can hit the trails again on sunday, however gwando is not huge and a lot of area can be seen on the one day of riding,.

Ring me if you need further detail

Hey Lotsa, we had planned to head from the farm thorugh the scrub toward tooheys rd i think, form there head north east, toward morriset, not a 100% sure on the route, however its was indicated that approx 3-4 kms of road riding would be required??

    So change of plan;
As follows, most riders are going to meet at the Chain Valley Bay-North Turn off, so if you were heading North east along the Motorway Link rd, you need to meet and the northern exit.

A few of us are staying at the farm at Wallarh on friday night, we will trailer our bikes up to the Chain valley bay north exit and ride to Gwando from there..

Saturday night- Fire, BBQ and few beers at the farm and decide if a sunday ride is required

    Cheers
