July 13, 2009 at 11:45 pm #143319Ok heres the Nundle ride deal
Old Bulls in Nundle 2009
25th/ 26th JulyWe locals will be at the fossickers caravan park at approximately 3.00pm on the Friday 24th, we will be organizing the cabins (for the soft ones) and the camp sites for the others.
There is no ride planned for the Friday as we would like to be there when you all arrive for the greeting and the beer/rum ceremony.
SATURDAY
I will be going for a ride on Saturday morning at approximately 08.30 and all are welcome to come with me, I will be riding through some very wild country so if you decide whilst you are in nundle you would like to go for a ride you can tag along with me, I will be endeavoring to reach a very isolated berry orchard that will supply lunch for about 20 people at a cost of $20.00 per head. Please bring some loose change in the form of gold coins if you come on this ride, reason will be explained before I leave the caravan park. I will then be heading back in the general direction of the esky and hopefully make it back in time to have a meal at the local, the Peel inn. I will then probably head back to my camp site and partake in a few brewskies.. The Saturday ride will be approximately 100-110 ks could be more could be less depending on time and how thirsty I am.
SUNDAY
A mate of mine (Bollocks) will be going for a ride to view some of the local touristy things around the local nundle area, this ride will start at 08.30,I will be going with him on this ride and I`m sure if you want to come along you will be welcome.
When the tourist ride is over (about lunch),I will be changing the pace and heading into the forest for some play, no set route just give the bike its head and hang on,, all are welcome to join me. this will probably end up being another 80ks on my Speedo.
Any concerns PM me and I will try to facilitate your request. Please remember$20.00 for lunch Saturday, and tea will be at the local Pub,pay your own. apart from that we cook our own or starve, bring trail food because there may be delays on the ride if you decide to come on it.
Cheers

July 14, 2009 at 7:08 am #129485Gday bulls and bullets.Sundays ride will be sweet.Have got the ok from farmer Kathy to ride through her property.Just got off the phone to Arc-En-Ciel trout farm. They cater for groups, with tours, fishing, brecky or lunch.
Lunch or breakfast can be provided at cost of $20 per head along with a 30 – 40 minute full guided tour of the farm.
Breakfast: Smoked trout with scrambelled eggs,Tea and coffee and a guided tour of the farm.
Lunch : Smoked trout with cous cous, Salad and tea or coffee.
A guided tour (only) of the farm is only $7 and is about 30 mins. With the opportunity to buy a heap of trout stuff at the end.
PS…those of you who dont like fish…smoked trout doesnt have that fishy taste or smell ,its bloody nice.
You can also hire a fishing rod for $8 and catch as many of the buggers you want out of the trout dams. But once caght you have to keep em and they bag the fish for you.You have to pay market value for each fish, fish can’t be put back in the dam due to contamination etc blah blah blah…
My suggestion to the group is bugger breaky and or lunch. We will be having breaky b4 we go and smoko up at Sheeba dam.But i DO recommend we do the tour cause its pretty bloody interesting.:cheer:
LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS.Once we have finished at the trout farm we can split, those who want to go for another belt through the forrest and those who want to head back to nundle for a feed at the pub.
