Well I was coming home from work on the XR cruising along a very busy Eastern Valley way Chatswood, when I peeled off to the left to go onto Boundary
Rd another very busy 6 lane Rd. As I came around I saw a little Girl probably no more than 15 Months old walking/crawling across the road  I nearly crapped myself :S I dropped the BRP and stopped an oncoming 4×4 who screeched to a stop, ran around and swooped up the Toddler, whick really freaked her out as I still had my Goggles on. The gate was wide open and a mower was on the Verge. I carried her inside and saw the dad sitting down on the porch doing something and said “hey mate,do you belong to thiis”? The dad also nearly pooped his pants and ran over and grabbed her, whilst embarrassingly thanking mes. Then the mum came out calling Sarah Sarah, then stopped dead in her tracks as she realised what had happened. A severe reprimand then happened to the dad whilst i stood there. I said alls good that has ended well etc etc then picked up the BRP and rode off. I couldnt stop thinking about it all the way home and how fast it all occurred and what the consequences may have been. Thank God I went home that way this time and saw her earlier enough before a tragedy occured.
Please People be aware of the little ones roads Pools Hot surfaces hot tea etc because it Happens so FastOllie

February 19, 2012 at 9:56 pm #216579Bloody good work and deserving of a major pat on the back (as opposed to the belt on the back of the head that the dad deserved).
Give yourself a nice drink, settle down and think about what you have done ……………….. and realise that you may well have saved an innocent child’s life and you or another motorist a life of torment were they to hit the child.
Seriously mate, fantastic

The Good thing was several cars gave me the thumbs up and the 4×4 driver picked my bike up and parked it on the kerb.Ollie
