Here’s hoping everyone enjoys the day, celebrating all things good about being lucky enough to live in Australia.
How are you spending it??
I will be riding my Penny Farthing at Wauchope’s Australia day celebrations. Then probably off to the Pub, for a bucket of prawns and a few beers while the kids enjoy the activities put on by the pub.
What ever you are doing, be proud to be an Aussie.!!

January 26, 2010 at 6:12 am #169499:woohoo: Yeah, Thanx Murph for the lectricity to power the ac while we went into the Foreshore today
We headed in to find things in full swing, people everywhere & a general good time being had by all.
Snapped a few piccies of the harbour from atop the “BIG PENIS” as it is known around
town
Saw the Hunter Valley Vintage Farm Machinery Group at the foreshore too, and while I couldn`t find one of those much talked about Suzuki Banana Tractors,,, I DID MANAGE TO FIND AN EARLY MODEL HONDA
And what I think was a late model PUMPKIN
There was also a Big Arse Kwaka there purring away
Saw a classic FC Holden I think it was , complete with Whitewall Tyres, Foxtail & the old Mal on the roof cruising about, How Aussie can you get????
Then had lunch at Nobbies Beach kiosk before doing the Fort Scratchley thing with a tunnel tour & ceremonial 6inch Guns Firing thrown in.
Everything today was free except for lunch of course  Parking, tours, shuttle Bus to & fro all FREE :woohoo:Thumbs Up from the Tin Lids
Great Day all up and great to see so many Aussies out doing what we all should do more often
