Happy Hippy Racing, HVMCC pony Express.

I got word that the Happy Hippy Race team (Moose and Kram) were going to have a crack at the Masters class at the HVMCC Pony Express yesterday. With the summer heat already upon us, I thought I best go out and cheer them on and also to take the piss out of them! I rode the XR out to the HVMCC raceway through Bago and Cowarra forest and when I arrived at 10am it was already getting hot and the start of the race was still 2 hours away!. Both Moose and Kram were already regretting their decision to enter I think!
Kram was riding his Husky 310 and Moose was aboard Georges new CRF250 (which he had never ridden at all prior to the race).

A massed Start saw Kram have a rush of blood and he almost got the holeshot, he would have done it except he realised he was in front and he shit himself!!!

Toes also lined up at the start and contested the under 35’s, on his daughter’s Husky 250.

Toes set a cracking pace and was rounding everyone up!

Toes was running 3rd outright at one stage before he stalled the Husky and it didn’t wanna play anymore.

The boys had the change over down pat and they looked like pro’s!

It was at this stage I decided that it was too hot and I went home for a swim, speaking to Moose later in the arvo confirmed that him and Kram had won the Master’s class.

I dunno how long the lap was Mal, but it was taking about 10-15 mins to get around it. The Next Pont Express up here at the track is in two weeks on November 27.

It is held at The Hastings Valley Motorcycle Club Raceway, near Port Macquarie. They have only two Pony Expresses a year and the next one is November 23. They also have sprint racing which is on the same tracks only you race against the clock.
