Have just signed up as a member, an old friend recommended Old Bull trailriders so we didn’t look like “axe wielding maniacs” (his words) on this years trip/adventure. 3rd winter trip in a row this year, so preparation is well underway for a 9th August Day 1 leaving from Mackay QLD. Two of us are meeting the other riders at Lambert’s Geographical Centre, near Finke NT on the following Tuesday afternoon. Have had a fair few pull out due to inexcusable excuses, so down to about half a dozen riders. I will ride my KTM 640 another coming from Shepparton, the rest of the bikes a the usual suspects and a couple of BMW 1200 GS’s. Last years trip was Mackay to the tip and back, as much traffic less roads as possible. The year before was Melbourne to Big Red returning through the Flinders Ranges. Try to ride locally during the cooler months, warmer months – the boats usually gain popularity.

Both bikes are 2007, wil try to have him sign up. he has been averaging a bike purchase every year for the last 3years. He blames this on me. I do not mind.

Welcome JMB , those 640 ADV’s are pearlers , I did 50,000 km on one over 2 1/2 years after buying it new in 07 , Upgraded to a 950 SE in early 09 and let the 640 go , wish I still had it now , 100 hp and 200 kg can be a liability at times .

I’ll be out in the Corner Country come late August with a couple of mates , we will sign the Old Bulls wall at the Corner Store , Your mates can’t sign it unless they join up .
