Hi ECKS-Man and welcome, hows about an intro so we can find out what and where you ride?
Seems you know Moto, wouldn’t say that’s a bonus as he is not very nice and I don’t like him anymore!
Welcome mate

AnonymousYeah, welcome again to the site ECKS. Still on the mighty Bannana?
December 18, 2008 at 2:20 am #115325Greetings guys!
I know Moto from DBW, thought I’d sign up here and see what’s cooking. I’m a surveyor, located in Wellington NSW (near Dubbo). Used to ride a DRZ but had to sell for economic reasons in October. Since then I’ve busted a gut to get back on two wheels and recently got an 07 WR250F.
Ride regularly around this area and go to Louee & Catombal pretty often. We go to Lithgow now and again and ride Clarence Newnes with some mates. Always keen for a spin so I’ll keep my eyes open for posted rides.

AnonymousUnfortunately so, JRD has been lurking here for a while. Check out the Cooranbong – Hillend ride at the start of next year mate
December 18, 2008 at 3:46 am #115349Welcome again ECKS, I lived at Orange for sometime and have also lived in Dubbo and Mudgee. Have you done much riding around Orange? I have done the railway service track to just out of Wellington once found it ok
How did you end up here?
WR looks nice, for a Yamaha that is lol

December 18, 2008 at 3:54 am #115377Cheers TB! Haven’t had the chance to ride around Orange much, most of my riding mates are Dubbo based. I’ve worked alongside the railway a lot with rural subdivisions and have often thought about doing that run. A couple of mates have a loop along the railway to Long Point, through to Hill End and then back via the bridal track (?) towards Mudgee and returning here via the 12-mile. I’m keen to try that one day! We tend to do the Harvey Ranges (Goobang National Park) a couple of times a year and we have a few private properties we ride on here and there.
If you’re ever out this way give me a shout and we can hook up!

AnonymousECKS – Me and TB can make a point of being out that and catching up for a ride. I’m always keen to see new riding places
December 18, 2008 at 4:52 am #115421Great stuff then! I’ll show you whatever I can find around here and TB can show me the Orange area!
I’m hoping things pick up a bit business-wise next year so that I can take a few days and ride some places I haven’t had a chance to yet. Thinking of the Far South Coast actually, around Eden. I had a taste early this year and now I want to go back to see what else is on offer. I also want to do a Biketerritory weekend and maybe a Coffs Harbour ride – We shall see I suppose!
December 18, 2008 at 5:03 am #115433Gday ECKS-Man, Welcome to the fray. We seem to be picking up a few DBW members as of late. It is a bit more casual here as you may have already noticed.
WE have a ride happening in March here at Wauchope (2.5 hrs south of Coffs) You should try and make it, there are some sweet trails here and there is no better way to ride them than with the locals that cut them in.
Cheers
MickDecember 18, 2008 at 5:12 am #115434Cheers Mick, I’m still a DBW member but as Moto says it can get a touch silly over there at times! I have met a lot of great people through DBW though.
I’ll see how I go for March. It depends on the business totally at the moment. We have a large job or two on the horizon but that doesn’t pay the mortgages in the meantime! Things have been bloody crook here, on top of which I was in a contract to buy out my business partner. I don’t begrudge him that, the contract was signed 3 years ago, but it was another expense on top of everything else! We’re getting there, as shown by the new (to me) bike but we are not out of the woods yet…
If I miss the March ride I’ll be hitting you up for a ride at a later date!
December 18, 2008 at 5:14 am #115435Going on your posts, you are into earth moving??
December 18, 2008 at 5:23 am #115436Surveying. Strangely enough, what with the current economic climate, subdivision has pretty much stopped at the moment!
We have picked up a bit of work for some mining exploration near Burraga (70km south of Bathurst – nearly 3 hours away) and a few random jobs at places like Cowra (about 2 hours drive away)but locally the place is shot! Hopfully the few bigger jobs we have on the cards will keep our doors open and let me have a day or two worth of true holiday later on in the year. And, maybe, just maybe, things will turn around and all my problems will be solved!
December 18, 2008 at 5:27 am #115440Oh The dudes with the stick and tripod caper. They are still subdividing with gay abandon up this way. They are building a whole new town between Port Macquarie and Wauchope.
