I tried one and didnt think it was as easy to use setup or shoot as good as the GoPro I am using, I have tried 5 different ones in the last three years and still have 3 here, bloody things!

The GoPro isnt mine but if Chop wants it back I will buy one

What;s the go with mounting these on your bars, I know vibration is an issue but wouldn’t you get the same vibration on the helmet.

I’m watching Swan being interviewed re the budget, what a tosser, did I tell you how much I dislike Rudd. Although 50% tax break on business assets over 1000 could be interesting!!

Menace, the difference is in the mounts that they come with. Email him and ask him what he has if you like but I’ve looked at the two (motorsport and helmet) and I don’t think you’d use either of the special mounts for mounting it on your motorbike helmet.

Motorsports comes with a big suction cup mount for cars.
helmet comes with a strap that will go through the vents.

Here’s a pic of the mounting for each of these:

Also I don’t know about your head but mine vibrates a lot less than my bike. If you have a look at this video you can see a dodgy shot of my gopro mounted under my visor in the screen shot 7s from the end. I like it there because its not distracting, wont get caught and hits less branches which cause the thuds when your viewing.

Chris you’d be better off mounting it on your front guard I reckon. Bar mount would require some shonky fab and I think they’d be to shaky.

If anyone wants a Go Pro wide angle private message me. A few of my friends are buying in a group order of $325 could be cheaper if we get more numbers

FWIW mine is playing up already :( I’ll have to give them an email but on the weekend it only filmed 2-5s at a time and now the photo button doesn’t seem to work.

having been given an Eagleeye pro cam, its a bullet type very similar to the ATK , I need some advice about mount up.
1st preference was under visor but the shape of visor doesnt give a good mount point, so next best is on side of helmet. dont want to top mount it as I fear it will get wiped out by branches, lantana etc.

issue is how do others mount up?I have a small plastic “shoe” as the mount , a couple of velcro straps and a piece of mount rubber to help with vibration i guess.
blokes who have cams, do you use velcro straps, adhesive, screws or what. Im struggling to get a snug mount with the strap alone.
bolting/screws seems the most sturdy, but drilling holes in helmet doesnt seem to be smart.Or am I just dumb?
