Try adjusting the peak down as well, I was having a similar problem one day and noticed when I tilted my head down a bit it got better so I adjusted the peak down and it improved that aspect of it a lot. But for noise there is nothing you can do but go for the earplugs.

Thanks guys, I have nearly got this wind/noise issue sorted, though I think the more experience I get road riding, the more I will understand whats happening. I tried lowering the peak, but there was limited adjustment and it did not make any difference – so took it off and it immediately eliminated the head shudder thing.
I tried ear plugs (the foam industrial ones) and the noise/whistle was greatly reduced.
When I get the chance I will try some other helmets as I am sure the different shapes and styles must make a difference. Also TB I was wondering where you got the higher screen, and what other mods you have made to your tenere? Cheers Jim

Yeah Jim I am doing a post with all the mods, the costs and how I have found each one. But mate I am flat out at the minute so it will be a week or so before its finished and posted

Congrats on the new Tenere, I am now very happy with mine and would recommend it to anyone. Although last Monday I would have sold it for 10 bucks   Two things I have learnt is suspension setup and rear tyre choice is critical to the bike. Its a fantastic bike
